5 thoughtful ways to celebrate Mother’s Day
It’s Mother’s Day on Sunday 30 March 2025. So we’ve put together a whole host of inspiring (and some unexpected) ideas to help you spoil your mum, partner, best friend, step-mum and mums-to-be at SouthGate Bath.
Whether it’s breakfast in bed, pampering beauty ideas, family sharing lunches with grandparents too or active days out together – here are all the best ideas for Mothering Sunday (also don’t forget the clocks go forwards an hour if you book anything…).
1. The most wanted Mother’s day gifts
First of all, the basics cannot be overlooked: cards, flowers, chocolate and jewellery. 3. Mother’s Day menus: brunch and lunch
For big family sharing feasts with the kids and grandparents, book a table filled with mezze dips, shawarma, pomegranate couscous and sharing menus at Comptoir Libanais. Keep everyone happy with pizza and pasta at Prezzo and Pizza Express; go for pad thai, chilli squid and incredible two for £12 cocktails at Thaikhun while their little explorer menu is £7.50 for mains, dessert and drink. Or, Giraffe is always a crowd pleaser with breakfast and brunch menus, Korean BBQ curry and fish and chips.
If you want to do something for the two of you, book the babysitter and take her out for an elegant menu for prosecco, fresh pasta, steak and chips, gorgeous desserts and more at The Cosy Club. Or simply go for cocktails together at Be At One or kick back, play pool and enjoy slushies at Juno.
Rugby fans? It’s the Guinness Women’s Six Nations featuring France vs. Scotland and Wales vs. England on Saturday 29 March, so book a table at Ludo Sports Bar & Kitchen and enjoy nachos, steaks and pizzas together.
4. Family day out together
Make it a Mothering Sunday that’s full of fun, take a trip to Everyman Bath to see Disney’s Snow White then go for family-friendly menus at Franco Manca, Slim Chickens, Smashburger and Nandos.
Finish off with treats at Krispy Kreme and Bubble Citea. Or go for burgers, beer for the adults and great kids’ menus at Brewdog – it’s dog-friendly so even your pooch can join.

For a fresh scent, look for notes of woody florals (Zara’s Amber Fusion) and classics such as Chanel Chance and Coco Mademoiselle, Miss Dior, Burberry Her, Valentino Born in Roma and Carolina Herrera Good Girl.
