We’re delighted to once again partner with local charity, St John’s Foundation, on our festive showstopper for 2024 – Pippin – a giant 5m tall penguin who’ll be lighting up SouthGate Place this Christmas.

Make a contactless donation of £1+ to see Pippin perform his light show to say thank you. All donations go towards the crucial work St John’s Foundation undertake with young people in our community – ensuring they grow up healthy, happy and educated members of society.

Meet some Christmas favourites with our walkabout characters

Polar Explorers, Sunday 23rd November, Sunday 1st December, Saturday 7th December, intervals between 11am-4pm

Our Polar Bear has travelled far and wide and seen it all! His latest adventure? Why, he has just returned from the Arctic Tundra, where he saw the Northern Lights! Meet our magical storytelling bear, accompanied by the renowned explorer Sir Snobert Drift. Together they roam against the harsh winds of wherever they are, looking for a cosy crew of avid listeners to hear all about their adventures.

Playful Penguins, Sunday 15th December, intervals between 11am-4pm

This slapstick waddle of penguins is concerned with one thing and one thing only… their bellies! They’re on the hunt for food wherever they go – thinking of food, imagining food, being on a mission to go and get food. They are curious creatures who like to know what’s going on as well as making people laugh, playing games and posing for photos along the way. P-P-Pick up these penguins quick!

 Fantastic Foxes Band, Monday 23rd December, 11.30-12pm, 12.45-1.15pm, 2pm- 2.30pm

In band attire, the Fantastic Foxes will be bringing festive cheer and tunes to SouthGate Bath on Monday 23rd December, the perfect soundtrack for your last-minute Christmas shopping! Catch them at The Vaults (outside Bath Spa train station) at intervals throughout the day.

Snow flurries, from 14^th November to 24th December

Every day from 14^th November to Christmas Eve, join us for our festive flurries and be sure to get your Christmas jumpers ready for some perfect snowy selfies.

Enjoy must-see Christmas movies at Everyman Bath

This year is set to be one of the most exciting times for family movies with Wicked (22 November), Moana 2 (27th November) and Mufasa: The Lion King (20th December) all coming to the big screen at Everyman Bath. Book your tickets here.

Late-night Thursdays from 14th November-19th December from 9am-7pm (Christmas Eve, 9am-5pm; Boxing Day 10am-5pm; New Year’s Eve 9am-6pm; New Year’s Day 10am-5pm).

It’s super easy for families to get here. If you’re travelling by train, you’ll find us just opposite Bath Spa train station. If you’d prefer to drive to us then we have more than 800 spaces at the SouthGate Bath car park, with dedicated bays for parents with children and 12 electric car charging points. There are also spaces to park your bike at The Vaults and in level -2 in the car park.
